1. Why are you not sending cakes or pies anymore?

You know us from the original bakery telecake network formed in 1987 offering celebration cakes across the USA through our member bakery network, to 2008 coming up with a travel stable cake that could take the long journey to APO & FPOs on the front lines in Iraq & Afghanistan, and we are once again transitioning to introduce WIREACOOKIE.com! The demand for the cookies exceeded the cakes so it was time to make a change! Our fabulous custom photo cookies are a 'piece of cake' to order, just call us toll free 1-800-WIRE-A-CAKE {1-800-947-3222},and speak to one of our friendly cookie representatives who are available to take your order during business hours.

2. How are the cookies delivered and what is the packaging?

The cookies are shipped 1st class & priority air through the United States Postal Service(USPS) to US zipcodes including PO Boxes within the 50 United States. The cookies are secure in a custom size box and are packed with care to prevent breakage. We have tested our technique and have perfected our packing method for optimum freshness.

3. Once I place my order online, how do I know it will be processed?

Once you submit the order using our online orderform you will immediately see a confirmation message when you are redirected back to the cookie page (you may have to scroll down to view it). Once your request is received one of our cookie reps will contact you to obtain the payment details within 48 hours during business days. It is very important to type your email address correctly to receive the confirmation. If you DO NOT receive an order confirmation within this time frame, it is possible the order was not properly transmitted. We have no way of tracking lost orders so it is your responsibilty to follow through by calling us at 1-800-947-3222 to check on the order. Declined credit cards will be notified via email. Orders that cannot be fulfilled for other reasons {i.e. lack of notice, area not serviced etc} will be notified via email. Due to the high volume of orders that are processed it is not possible to call you. Please be certain to check your "filtered" box if there is no confirmation in your "inbox".

4. What time will the cookies be delivered and what if no one is at home?

We can not specify a delivery time as the USPS does not guarantee time for delivery. Once the package has arrived at the recipient's postal station then delivery time is assigned by the local Carrier. If no one is at home the Carrier will use his/her discretion to leave the package or not. If the Carrier feels it is not safe to leave the package a notice will be left with further instructions for the recipient. If tracking service was purchased, the Carrier will update the tracking information and you can check on the status by using the link that is provided in your email confirmation. Unforeseen problems may cause delays i.e. weather,traffic etc; however, we can not be responsible for USPS scheduling. 1st Class & Priority mail is very reliable and we have had wonderful results!

5. How much notice is needed to place the order?

We ask for minimum 5 business days lead time {more notice is appreciated during peak holiday months} for all orders.If it is less time we do our best to accommodate your requests on our next possible shipping days. We do ship USPS priority air on Monday, Wednesday & Friday.

6. What are your prices and how do I pay?

Prices are on our Variety Cookies link and are in USD. We accept major credit cards Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

7. What if I want to order a cookie flavor or decoration that is not listed?

We only offer 1 cookie flavor, the gourmet 3.25" sugar cookie, as it is the smoothest surface for the decoration frosting circles. We have a variety of decoration themes that are displayed HERE on our website. For additional cost you do have the option to upload your own picture however No adult themes please.

8. Will I receive a confirmation when the cookies are delivered?

First Class mail service through the USPS does offer tracking for an additional charge. You can request tracking options when our cookie reps contact you to confirm the payment method.

9. Do you deliver to Canada?

We do not offer mail service to Canada.

10. I would like to order cookies for delivery on a specific date, do you guarantee that?

Cookies are shipped to arrive on the date you indicate, however, on rare occasions there may be unforeseen changes through the USPS that could cause the arrival date to vary by a day. Please be aware that we cannot be responsible for the USPS scheduling.

11. Can I send cookies overseas to a loved one in the military to an APO/FPO address?

Please know it has been an honor to have shipped to APO/FPO addresses for the past 6 years. Due to military mail delays starting in January 2014, it has become a steady challenge to have our perishables arrive in a timely manner, therefor we have suspended our overseas military shipping. We have transitioned to offering the decorated custom 3.25" sugar cookies for shipping to any US address within the 50 states, including military installations at home! 12. I want to send cookies to my son/daughter away at college, do you deliver to dormitories?

Yes we can deliver to your son/daughter as long as you provide a current mailing address with a US zip code. We ship 1st class and priority air through the US postal service and deliveries can even be to a PO Box on campus. Each campus has their own mail distribution procedure and it may be that your student will receive a notice saying that there is a package waiting for them. It is our strong recommendation that you alert your son/daughter that a special perishable treat is on the way so they can be on the lookout for it!

13. I paid for tracking service so why does the USPS scan show that my package appears to still be in CA?

Please do not worry the treat is on the way! The scan you see shows the original ship date when we dropped it off to the post office and unfortunately some package scans are delayed in updating the progress. It takes 3-5 days coast to coast for the packages to be received and in rare circumstances a little longer so please be patient.

14. Just wondering what the status of my order is because I didn't receive a confirmation that the cookies were sent.

If you paid for the track service you will receive email that will include the USPS tracking number . If you do not see it in your inbox please double check the spam folder it could very well be there. If after checking the spam and you do not see it just send an email to customerservice@wireacake.com and we will be happy to check on that for you.
