a. We have been providing cakes successfully since 1987 and we take responsibility for our bakers to preserve the integrity of our service. All cakes are baked fresh and decorated as you specify on the orderform. The cakes are guaranteed to be delicious or we will refund your money. b. The cakes are hand delivered through our bakery network across the USA & Canada. The cakes are usually in traditional cardboard pastry boxes, either pink, white or brown or the cakes maybe on a plastic plate with a dome, similar to what you may purchase pastries in for yourself. Our pies are however are packaged and shipped priority USPS air and are guaranteed. c. Once you submit the order using our online orderform you will receive an email confirmation of the order. It is very important to type your email address correctly to receive the confirmation. If you DO NOT receive an order confirmation within the day you place the order, it is possible the order was not properly transmitted. We have no way of tracking lost orders so it is your responsibilty to follow through by calling us at 1-800-947-3222 to check on the order.Declined credit cards will be notified via email. Orders that cannot be fulfilled for other reasons {i.e. lack of notice, area not serviced etc} will be notified via email. Due to the high volume of orders that are processed it is not possible to call you. Please be certain to check your "filtered" box if there is no confirmation in your "inbox". d. It is best to get an idea of the recipient's schedule before you place the order. Deliveries are made in the morning between 9.00-12.00 noon or early afternoon between 12.00-3.00pm. Our bakers do attempt to call the recipient to confirm a 2 hour window for delivery when they are going to the residence. They try to be discreet so as not to spoil the surprise. Orders that are delivered to a residence should not be left at the door due to the fact that the cakes are fresh and subject to the outdoor elements. We do make exceptions if you specify however this removes us of any further responsibility for the cake. e. We ask for minimum 5 business days lead time {more notice is appreciated during peak holiday months} for cake and pie orders to avoid additional service fees. Orders within 5 days will be charged an additional $5.00 and next day orders will be charged an additional $10.00. No same day orders will be processed. f. Prices are on our Cake selection/pricing link and are in USD. We accept major credit cards Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. g. Cake flavors and decoration themes are limited to our website. We do offer you an option to select your own cake flavor in the "Specialty Cakes" section however if that is not available we will select a substitute flavor if you have not offered a second choice. h. We do not deliver cakes through a shipping carrier where tracking numbers are provided allowing for packages to be followed en route. If there is any difficulty with your delivery the bakery will notify us and we in turn will be in touch with you. Unforeseen problems may cause complications i.e. weather,traffic etc. Delays may result in next day delivery if we cannot reach you or the recipient. Rest assured your sweet gift will be delivered and your confirmation will be from the happy recipient! i.There is an additional service fee of $10.00 that will be added to orders for Canadian delivery. This will be added by our staff when your order is processed after your order has been accepted through the shopping cart. j. Pies are shipped to arrive on the date you indicate, however, on rare occasions there may be unforeseen changes through the USPS that could cause the arrival date to vary by a day. Please be aware that we cannot be responsible for the USPS scheduling. k. We are fortunate to have a baker that has created an 8" single layer cake frosted and presented for shipping overseas to APO/FPO addresses! { $7.00 will be added to FPO addresses since they are shipped from CA} The cakes are baked fresh,frosted and shipped to NY immediately but the time frame once in military hands could be up to 11 days. Cakes have traveled to Iraq in 130* temps and have arrived fine. In case of extreme summer heat it is best to refrigerate for about 30 minutes before cutting into the cake. click here l. The pecan pie is the only pie flavor that can be shipped overseas to APO/FPO addresses! Our pie vendor took great lengths to have the ingredients tested to determine the shelf life for shipping. He has shipped hundreds of pecan pies to the military and they have been well received. They are baked fresh and shipped immediately but the time frame once in military hands could be up to 11 days. click here
